How To Raise Self-Esteem and Self-Appreciation
I haven't written in a while.
I promise to write about exactly why soon.
But I've got something far more exciting to write about now.
It's a simple six step process to raise self-esteem in just a few
minutes.
Its an NLP technique that works perfectly with the Psycho-
Cybernetics model of Dr. Maltz.
Here are the seven steps:
1. Identify someone who you know loves you (or someone you've
helped who deeply appreciates you)
2. Imagine you are writing your autobiography and see the person
who loves you on the other side of a glass door
3. At your desk write down the qualities and characteristics of
that person
4. Float your awareness outside yourself besides that person and
see yourself from your own eyes
5. Enter the body of the person who loves you and see yourself
from the eyes of love and appreciation and hear the thoughts of
love that go along with being in the body of the person who loves
you
6. Float back into your body at the desk and write about the
special qualities and aspects of yourself that you saw and heard
when you looked thorugh the eyes of love
7. Think of times and places in the future when you know you
will find the deep sense of appreciation useful
In many of Dr. Maltz's books he says "see yourself with kind
eyes" well now you know how to do it.
To get the best results choose a person who loves you just the
way you are and who sees the good in you.
Have fun with this exercise and let me know how it changes you.
